Test Kit Assembly Machines - Automatic Load Machines

 

Although each assembly machine is designed and built according to the requirements of each individual customer, there are basic shared features of these machines.  We offer both fully automatic product component loading, and manual component loading.

 

Fully Automatic Load Assembly Machine  

The machine is a rotary table with 8 product nests.  It will have vibratory bowls for automatic feeding of the tops and bottoms of the cassette case. One-up or two-up. This system can include a fully automatic strip cutter and loader.

 

The machine will product 25 to 30 parts per minute as one-up; 50 to 60 as two-up.

 

Cycle of Operations for Fully Automatic Load Assembly Machine

Station 1 - Bowl fed bases will be automatically oriented and fed to pick and place unit.  Pick and place unit will place oriented case onto conveyor.

Station 2 - Vacuum style pick and place system will pick up test strips from the cutting system and place in the cassettes.  This system will have sensors to verify strip placement, including optical and vacuum sensors as needed.

Station 3 - Inspection station - This system will check kit for correct strip load using vision system or optical sensors.  Incorrect cases will be rejected and will not be lidded.

Station 4 - Bowl fed lids will be oriented and placed onto the kits using precision pick and place mechanism.

Station 5 - Pneumatic press with a closed loop monitoring system will press cassettes.  

Station 6 - Checks the parts and inspects for completed closure and presence of reagent strip.  

Station 7 - The “good” kits will be ejected to a bin for further processes and packaging.

Station 8 - Parts that have been determined by any previous step to be defective will be rejected.  

 

Optional - Inspection system: An UV sensor can be used to detect and reject marked strips.  

Optional - Desiccant loader for placing a desiccant in the plastic body of the test kit is for tablet style system.

Optional - We can also provide an integrated packaging system for fully automatic packaging of test kits.
